Bmw Sat Nav Disk Iso

Sat nav argos

You don't 'Play' a Nav DVD. There is nothing that you do when using the DVD, you simply insert it into the DVD slot on the dash and it displays on the screen.

What Is Sat Nav

2010) > Burning 2011 BMW NAVIGATION. The professional sat-nav system in the 6 series is not like the standard. After unzip iso file 'BMW_NAV_2011.1_west.iso. Latest Navigation Disks; Portable GPS Software; Free Software; Navigation Retrofits; Service Parts for Sale; Bluetooth Retrofits; DVD & Video retrofit; Reverse Camera Retrofit; Complete System Diagnostics; Technical Information; Supply, Fit and Warranty; Business Partners Welcome; Add Feedback.

When using an updated DVD go ahead and put it in and turn the car off. The new DVD will need some time to load when you put it in the first time, somewhere around 5 or 10 minutes if memory serves me correctly. Even with the car off you can Eject and Insert the new DVD and just let it sit. If after giving it some time you are not able to see the map on the right in the split screen showing your current location then you probably have either the wrong Nav Disc image, or a bad DVD burn. OK, you have that down, but you said in the beginning that you couldn't PLAY it.

From your original post you said you burnt it already, but you want a procedure to burn? I will do my best to make sense of this even though I am not positive I know what you are stumbling on. Sounds like what you should have said is that your DOWNLOADED the Nav DVD. I assume you downloaded an ISO file, you know this by the end of the file name which is.ISO.

Download a program called IMGBURN, just type that in google, it is free and I have used it for years. If you are Windows7 use BURN4FREE Once you have an ISO burning program loaded on your PC you can double-click your file and it should come up in that program.

If not drag the file over and drop it in the program. Get an empty DVD, put it in your DVD Burner on your computer. Click on BURN. Is this what you are looking for? For starters make sure you use good DVDR media. Taiyo Yuden is by far the best, it is worth the effort to find these DVDRs. Verbatim AZO (purple packaging) are the next best.

In my opinion everything else is garbage based on the error rates I've seen in media tests. (yes, I am a computer geek too) Burn at 4x which is fine when doing critical discs like music CDs or nav DVDs. I use IMGBURN on Win7x64 or Nero ver6 on WinXP. Make sure you have the CCC-Professional version of the ISO which will work for all 2004 to 2008 6ers. You do not want the 'Business' or 'High' versions of the ISO. Starting in 2009 BMW changed to CIC with the map data stored on hard drive. For Mac download 'BMWNAV2011.1west.zip.torrent' (Im in CA or east) Unzip it After unzip iso file 'BMWNAV2011.1west.iso' is created right click on file (windows mouse)open withburn Insert DVD (i used verbatim dvd+r 4.7gb 16x) and click Burn at 4X speed When complete, turn key to 2nd position and wait until NAV is on.

Eject Nav CD out and inset DVD. Once 2011 DVD is in turn key to off and wait about 5 mins and its ready. Idrivenav and new map should be open.

I only tried once and had no errors. I now have 49 dvds. Hey guys I did all this and the navigation is working very well, only thing is the voice command only tells me to turn right and left doens't say the street name? Am I doing something wrong or it is just the way it is?

I am a super noobie at this stuff just bought a 2006 650i. Thanks for the help. Idk if it's supposed to be that way, but after posting in here I used the nav to see if mine did the same & it does. It just says 'prepare to turn left/right' then 'turn left/right at the next street'. It doesn't mention any street names.
