As a ddos works by overloading a device with requests, doing this to any device connected to wifi will also kill the wifi and could cause it to take up to 48 to reboot as any requests will have to run through the wifi as well before they reach the target device. I have found that performing a ddos on a device that is on wifi tends to kill the wifi but leave the device untouched ( absent a internet connection but still completely untouched).

Just make sure you know what you are getting into when attempting to ddos a device.
